Newcastle's recovery began almost immediately after Thiaw's own goal, with Harvey Barnes reducing the deficit in breathtaking fashion — cutting inside from the left and curling a precise finish into the far corner just 27 seconds after the restart. It was a moment of individual brilliance from Barnes that kept the hosts alive.

Substitute Ramsey completed the comeback in the 88th minute, finding the corner to secure a point and preserve Newcastle's unbeaten record under head coach Matthias Jaissle.

The result continues a troubling pattern for Bournemouth, who have now dropped seven points from winning positions this season — more than any other Premier League club. Stoppage-time concessions against Manchester City and Everton had already cost them dearly, and this latest collapse makes it three successive games in which the Cherries have squandered a lead.
