Rangers have secured their 12th signing of the summer, bringing in South Korean winger Kim Min-Su from Girona on an undisclosed fee. The 20-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-year deal, with an option to extend for a further season.

The arrival strengthens a wide department that has seen considerable investment this window. Kim joins fellow wide players Djeidi Gassama, Findlay Curtis, Ross McCausland, and summer recruit Daisuke Yokota as Rangers manager Derek McInnes continues to reshape his squad.

"We are delighted to welcome Min-su to Rangers," McInnes said. "Strengthening our options in the forward areas has been a real target and focus for us throughout this window and we believe he will add another exciting dimension to the squad."

The Rangers boss added: "Min-su is a talented young player with excellent technical ability, energy and a real desire to develop and we are looking forward to working with him."

Failed moves before the deal was done

The signing comes after Rangers fell short on two previous wide targets this summer. The Ibrox club were close to agreeing a move for PSV Eindhoven's Couhaib Driouech earlier this month, only for the 24-year-old to be carrying a minor injury. A subsequent £7.5 million bid for Brighton's Amario Cozier-Duberry, 21, was rejected by the south-coast club.

Kim's record at club and on loan

Kim departs Girona following the Spanish club's relegation from La Liga. He made eight appearances for the senior side while contributing 19 goals across 84 outings for Girona B. A loan spell at second-tier Andorra last season yielded six goals and four assists in 40 matches.
