Real Betis Eye Nigerian Defender Bruno Onyemeachi in €6 Million Deal

Real Betis are reportedly monitoring Olympiacos left-back Bruno Onyemeachi, with the Greek Super League champions now willing to part ways with the Nigerian international for around €6 million.
Transfer expert Ekrem Konur reports that Olympiacos have shifted their stance on the 27-year-old defender, having blocked a transfer during last summer's window. The club are seeking a fee that represents a significant return on the €2 million they spent to acquire him from Portuguese side Boavista in January 2025.
Despite the reported interest, no formal offer has been submitted and no active negotiations are underway between Real Betis and Olympiacos at this stage.
A familiar trail to Spain
This would not be Onyemeachi's first brush with Spanish football. During his spell at Boavista, La Liga clubs Las Palmas and Getafe were both linked with the Nigeria international — signalling that his profile has drawn sustained attention from across the Pyrenees.
Should a deal materialise, Onyemeachi would join a growing number of Nigerian defenders making their mark in top European leagues, bringing further visibility to the Super Eagles' defensive talent pool.
