Real Madrid Deny Any Contact Over Bayern Munich's Michael Olise

Real Madrid have issued a formal denial of any contact — direct or indirect — with Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise or anyone connected to him, amid swirling transfer speculation linking the French international to a move to the Santiago Bernabéu.
In a statement released on Saturday, the Spanish club stressed that any interest in a player registered to another club must first be handled between the two institutions, citing their long-standing relationship with Bayern Munich as a foundation for that principle.
"Real Madrid CF wishes to state that it has not had any direct or indirect contact with the aforementioned player, his representatives, or anyone in his entourage," the statement read.
Madrid went further, expressing regret over speculation that, in their words, "does not correspond to reality," and took the opportunity to underline the mutual respect and institutional trust that has historically defined their relationship with Bayern Munich.
"Both clubs have always maintained a relationship based on trust and mutual respect, which is reflected, among other aspects, in the shared conviction that any potential interest in a player belonging to the other club must be dealt with first between the entities themselves."
Olise's rise at Bayern Munich
Olise joined Bayern Munich from Crystal Palace in 2024 for approximately €60 million, and quickly made his mark under manager Vincent Kompany. The winger contributed to Bayern Munich's Bundesliga title triumph and their run to the UEFA Champions League semifinals last season.
A busy summer for Madrid
Real Madrid, who appointed Jose Mourinho as head coach in June, have been active in the transfer market this summer. The club secured Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konate on free transfers, and added Chelsea left-back Marc Cucurella in a deal worth €55 million.
