Real Madrid have set their sights on Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister, according to ESPN FC's Transfer Talk, with the Spanish giants emerging as serious suitors for the Argentina international.

Mac Allister has established himself as a key figure at Anfield since arriving from Brighton & Hove Albion, but the interest from the Santiago Bernabéu has prompted Liverpool to begin exploring options for a potential replacement in midfield.

The news adds to a busy transfer window for both clubs, with Real Madrid continuing to strengthen their squad and Liverpool keen to ensure any departure does not leave Carlo Ancelotti's rivals with an advantage in the midfield battle.
