Real Madrid are monitoring Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jarell Quansah as they plan their defensive recruitment for next summer, according to ESPN FC's Transfer Talk.

Quansah, who made the switch from Liverpool to Bayer Leverkusen, has attracted the attention of the Spanish giants, who appear to be weighing up a potential move for the defender in the upcoming transfer window.

The interest from Real Madrid underlines Quansah's rapid rise since departing Anfield, with the German club providing him the platform to establish himself at the highest level of European football.
