Declan Rice has come to the defence of Eberechi Eze and Gabriel Magalhães following Arsenal's defeat on penalties against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League final in Budapest.

The showpiece ended 1-1 after extra time, with Eze pulling his effort wide and Gabriel sending his attempt over the bar — the two misses that ultimately ended Arsenal's hopes of lifting the trophy.

Speaking after the final, Rice acknowledged that both players were devastated by the outcome but was keen to highlight their contribution to the club's remarkable season.

The midfielder pointed to Gabriel's consistency at the back and Eze's decisive goals throughout the campaign, insisting the dressing room remains firmly behind both players.
