Bukayo Saka was absent from England training on Saturday as Thomas Tuchel's side stepped up preparations for their FIFA World Cup 2026 group-stage encounter with Ghana.
The Arsenal winger has been managing an Achilles problem over recent months and was introduced only as a second-half substitute in England's 4-2 opening win over Croatia. His absence from the training session now casts doubt over his availability against the West African side.
Tuchel's assessment
Head coach Thomas Tuchel remained optimistic about Saka's condition, suggesting the 25-year-old would grow into the tournament with additional minutes on the pitch.
