Sevilla Reject Venezia's Cut-Price Bid for Super Eagles Striker Adams

1 hour ago·1 min

Sevilla have rejected an offer from newly promoted Serie A club Venezia for Nigeria international Akor Adams, with the Spanish side demanding a fee far above what was tabled.

According to Transferfeed, Venezia's bid fell short of €10 million — a figure Sevilla considered well below Adams's market value. The Andalusian club are understood to rate the striker at between €20 million and €30 million.

A prized asset at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán

Adams arrived at Sevilla in January 2025 from Ligue 1 side Montpellier for a fee of €6 million, and has since grown into a key figure in the squad. He is contracted at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán until 2029, with three years remaining on his deal.

The 26-year-old enjoyed a productive debut season in Spain, contributing 10 goals and three assists in 32 appearances across all competitions — figures that have attracted attention beyond Venezia.

Marseille also keeping tabs

Ligue 1 giants Olympique Marseille are also said to be monitoring Adams's situation, adding to the growing interest surrounding the Super Eagles striker heading into the summer window.

Sevilla's firm stance signals that they have no intention of letting Adams leave on the cheap, particularly given they signed him for €6 million just months ago and have watched his value climb considerably since.
