Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone has cautioned his side not to underestimate Manchester United ahead of their upcoming clash, insisting the English club remain a genuine threat despite their struggles in the Premier League this season.

United's poor domestic form has left them stranded in mid-table in the Premier League, yet Simeone is refusing to dismiss them as a spent force. The Argentine coach made clear that appearances can be deceiving when it comes to assessing the danger Manchester United pose.

Simeone has built his reputation on meticulous preparation and a refusal to overlook any opponent — and his assessment of Manchester United appears to follow that same philosophy. For Atlético Madrid, complacency is not an option.
