Slavia Prague Confirm Ogbu's Successful Surgery After Achilles Rupture

Slavia Prague have confirmed that Igoh Ogbu came through surgery successfully after rupturing his Achilles tendon during Nigeria's international break activities.
The centre-back suffered the injury in a training session as the Super Eagles prepared for their friendly against Portugal — a match he never got to play. He had previously appeared in both of Nigeria's Unity Cup fixtures against Zimbabwe and Jamaica, and started the 2-2 draw with Poland before Semi Ajayi replaced him at half-time.
Three months on the sidelines
In a statement on their official website, the Czech club confirmed the operation had been completed at the Central Military Hospital in Střešovice.
