Jayden Adams, the Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana midfielder who represented South Africa at the FIFA World Cup 2026, has died at the age of 25. No cause of death has been announced.
Adams featured in all three of South Africa's group-stage matches at this summer's tournament — one of the most significant chapters in the nation's football history. He did not play in the round of 32, where Bafana Bafana were eliminated by co-hosts Canada.
