Swansea City Close in on Record-Breaking Deal for Motherwell Winger Elijah Just

Swansea City are on the verge of signing Motherwell winger Elijah Just, with talks between the two clubs reaching an advanced stage.
The 26-year-old New Zealand international caught the eye at this summer's FIFA World Cup, appearing in all three of the All Whites' group-stage matches and finishing the tournament as the side's top scorer with three goals.
A record fee for Motherwell
Securing Just's signature will not come cheap — Swansea will need to break Motherwell's existing club record for a transfer fee received in order to get the deal over the line. The Championship side face competition for the player, who has also been linked with a move to Celtic.
Just arrived at Fir Park in 2025 after spending most of his playing career in Denmark. He made 43 appearances for Motherwell, contributing seven goals and earning a nomination for the Scottish Premiership player of the year award.
Reuniting with a fellow All White
Should the transfer be completed, Just would link up with Marko Stamenic at Swansea — another New Zealand international already on the club's books in south Wales.
