Thomas Tuchel has assembled a backroom staff that places specific emphasis on set-piece preparation. His assistant manager, Anthony Barry, takes a lead role in overseeing that side of the game for England.
Alongside Barry, Tuchel brought in Paul Quilter as a dedicated set-piece coach. Quilter spent the bulk of his career — from 2011 to 2025 — working as an analyst at Chelsea, with a brief stint at Aldershot Town during that period.
