Tottenham have reached an agreement to bring Egypt forward Omar Marmoush from Manchester City, with the deal structured as an initial loan carrying a £60m obligation to buy.

Marmoush is set to undergo a medical before completing the move, which Sky Sports News understands is composed of a £50m guaranteed fee plus up to £10m in performance-related bonuses.

Frankfurt's sell-on clause clarified

Contrary to earlier reports, Eintracht Frankfurt — the club that sold Marmoush to City in January 2025 — do not hold a sell-on clause in the deal.

Frankfurt received their agreed guaranteed fee at the time of the original transfer, supplemented by bonus payments, and the structure involved minimal instalments. All financial obligations owed to the German club by City have since been settled in full.

Following Savio to north London

Marmoush is poised to become the second former Manchester City player to join Roberto De Zerbi's squad in quick succession. Brazil winger Savio completed an £85m transfer to Tottenham on Tuesday, and Marmoush now looks set to reunite with his former City team-mate at the north London club.
