Tottenham Hotspur and Everton are locked in separate advanced transfer negotiations — Spurs are pursuing Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye, while Everton are working to bring striker Richarlison back to Goodison Park.

Tottenham's interest in Ndiaye has intensified following developments elsewhere in the market. Cody Gakpo, who had also been on Spurs' radar, now appears likely to join Manchester City should he depart Liverpool. Ndiaye had equally attracted attention from Manchester City, who were seeking to add a new forward.

Everton are willing to sell Ndiaye only if the price is right, though the situation has been complicated by the Senegalese winger's decision to reject multiple contract renewal offers from the club. Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi confirmed on Saturday that Richarlison is among three players who have formally requested to leave before the transfer deadline, the other two being Kevin Danso and Pape Matar Sarr.

De Zerbi is also targeting a new forward before the window closes. Chelsea's Pedro Neto had been considered, but Tottenham appear to be shifting their focus firmly toward Ndiaye.

Man City open talks with Liverpool for Gakpo

Manchester City have initiated formal discussions with Liverpool over a move for Cody Gakpo. Contact came late in the window, and Liverpool are now assessing their options.

A source told Sky Sports News that the potential deal has progressed significantly in City's favour amid Tottenham's earlier interest in the Netherlands international. Talks over personal terms with Gakpo are also under way.

Liverpool, meanwhile, are on the verge of completing the signing of Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain in a deal worth £106 million, rising to £123 million, having already brought in Victor Munoz from Osasuna earlier this summer.
