Tottenham Head to Marbella in Bid to Kick-Start Troubled Season

Tottenham are set to travel to Marbella, southern Spain, for a training camp and team-bonding exercise after Saturday's Premier League fixture at Manchester United.
The trip comes at a difficult moment for Roberto de Zerbi's side, who sit bottom of the Premier League table after five games without a win — picking up just two draws to open the campaign.
With nine days separating the Old Trafford encounter and their next home match against newly-promoted Coventry, De Zerbi sees the warm-weather camp as an opportunity to build cohesion and spark some momentum.
Weather and timing
Temperatures in Marbella are expected to touch 25 degrees during the stay, a sharp contrast to the rain forecast at Spurs Lodge in Enfield, where the club normally trains.
Warm-weather breaks of this nature are rare so early in the season — particularly in the immediate aftermath of an international break, when English clubs typically reserve such getaways for the winter months.
A squad still finding its shape
Tottenham invested more than £250m in new players over the summer, bringing 10 signings into the squad. Among those arriving in the final week of the transfer window were Savio, Tosin Adarabioyo, Mykhailo Mudryk, and Omar Marmoush.
The combination of a congested fixture schedule and the extended international break has given the revamped squad little time to settle and develop an understanding — a problem De Zerbi hopes the Marbella trip will begin to address.
