Donald Trump will attend the FIFA World Cup 2026 final at New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, the White House has confirmed — another consequence of FIFA president Gianni Infantino's well-documented closeness to the United States president.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Trump would first travel to New York City on Friday for a FIFA reception at Trump Tower in Manhattan, before attending Sunday's showpiece final. FIFA has maintained an office in Trump Tower since last summer.
