Crystal Palace winger Christantus Uche has claimed the UEFA Europa Conference League Fans' Goal of the Season award for the 2025/26 campaign, earning recognition for a moment of individual brilliance that lit up the competition's group stage.

The Nigeria international's winning goal came during Palace's 2-2 draw against Finnish side KuPS Kuopio in December 2025. Collecting the ball just outside the penalty area, Uche skipped past his marker with a composed dribble before curling a dazzling trivela effort beyond the goalkeeper and into the far corner.

A five-way race for the award

Uche beat four other contenders to claim the prize. Shakhtar Donetsk forward Isaque Silva finished as runner-up, recognised for a spectacular overhead kick against Lech Poznań in the Round of 16.

Rayo Vallecano defender Florian Lejeune took third place with a long-range thunderbolt against Drita during the league phase. Samsunspor's Aboubakary Koita placed fourth for a breathtaking solo effort against AEK Athens, while Rayo Vallecano's Alemao rounded out the top five with a powerful strike from distance against Samsunspor, also in the Round of 16.

The award-winning goal was one of only two Uche registered across Crystal Palace's triumphant Conference League run — a campaign that ended with the club lifting the trophy.

A bittersweet season for Uche

Despite the individual honour, the 23-year-old endured a difficult second half of the season. Uche joined Crystal Palace on a season-long loan from Spanish club Getafe last summer, but was omitted from the club's Conference League squad for the knockout rounds.

In the Premier League, he made 14 appearances without contributing a single goal or assist — a return that will have frustrated a player clearly capable of moments of genuine quality.
