Venezia manager Davide Nicola has reserved special praise for striker Akor Adams following his match-winning role in the club's 1-0 triumph over Napoli at the Stadio Pier Luigi Penzo on Saturday.

Adams broke the deadlock four minutes into the second half, pouncing on a defensive mistake from Napoli's Benoît Badiashile to slot the ball into the net and seal all three points for the home side.

The victory represents Venezia's second win in Serie A this season, with Napoli suffering their third defeat of the campaign in the same fixture.

Nicola's glowing assessment

Despite his reluctance to single out individual players, Nicola made an exception for Adams, lauding the striker's drive, qualities, and untapped potential.
