Villarreal secured a memorable 3-1 victory over Napoli in the UEFA Champions League, coming from behind to claim the club's first win in the competition in eight matches.

A spectacular strike from Santiago Mourino proved the turning point of the contest, lifting Villarreal from a one-goal deficit to a commanding lead.

The Yellow Submarine had found themselves trailing early in the match, but they rallied to overturn the scoreline and ultimately run out convincing winners against the Italian side.

The result ends what had been a difficult spell in Europe for Villarreal, who had gone eight Champions League matches without tasting victory before this result.
