Jack Wilshere, now manager of Luton Town, has opened up about his passion for coaching and the profound influence that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta had on the way he sees the game.

Wilshere, who spent the bulk of his playing career at Arsenal, credits Arteta with deepening his tactical understanding of football — a foundation he is now building on as he develops his own identity in the dugout.

The Luton Town boss has spoken warmly about how working alongside Arteta helped him appreciate the finer details of the game, from positional structure to in-game decision-making, shaping the kind of coach he aspires to be.

Wilshere's move into management represents one of the more prominent transitions from player to coach among his generation, and his admiration for Arteta's methods suggests a clear throughline from his Arsenal days to his current work at Luton Town.
