Wrexham have secured the services of Preston North End captain Ben Whiteman, agreeing a three-year contract with the option of a fourth year for the experienced midfielder.

The 30-year-old arrives for an undisclosed fee and brings with him a wealth of Championship experience, having made 200 appearances at that level. Whiteman completed his medical with the Red Dragons on Tuesday.

He becomes the club's second signing of the summer, following full-back Danny Imray's arrival from Crystal Palace earlier in the window.
