"It was a good game to watch, and I am impressed with the outcome of the result against Poland. The Super Eagles's quick play and control of possession show how well the players are adapting to Eric Chelle's tactical setup."
The former international acknowledged that the result could have been different had the Super Eagles managed the space that allowed Wiśniewski the time and vision to rifle in his long-range effort.
"From the defence to the attack, the players gave their best and could have won the game had the players closed down the space that gave the Polish player that vision to hit a shot from that distance. In all, it was a wonderful performance from the players, and I know they will get better when they face Portugal in their next friendly game."
Portugal next on the agenda
Nigeria's attention now turns to another friendly, this time against World Cup-bound Portugal on June 10. The Super Eagles are absent from the FIFA World Cup 2026, but the two warm-up matches form part of their preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in 2027.
