Hassan Abdallah, the head coach of Warri Wolves, has confirmed that the Seasiders are in the middle of a deliberate rebuilding process — one he believes will yield a far stronger side when the 2026/2027 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season kicks off in August.

Abdallah joined Warri Wolves following a difficult 3-0 defeat to Kun Khalifat at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, in a Matchday 34 fixture of the 2025/2026 NPFL season. A former assistant coach with the Nigeria U-20 Flying Eagles and ex-head coach of Heartland, Abdallah steered the club through four matches and ensured they avoided relegation.

Pre-season defeat offers a learning curve

Speaking at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, on Sunday after Warri Wolves fell 1-0 to Rangers in a pre-season friendly, Abdallah struck an upbeat tone despite the result.
