Aberdeen Sell Finnish Winger Keskinen to Danish Club Odense

Aberdeen have parted ways with Finnish winger Topi Keskinen, completing a transfer to Danish Superliga side Odense for an undisclosed fee. Pittodrie manager Stephen Robinson confirmed the deal, calling the offer received "a very good offer" that met the club's valuation.
Keskinen, 23, spent two seasons at Aberdeen, making 89 appearances and scoring nine goals. His time in Scotland ended on a high note — the winger was part of the squad that lifted the Scottish Cup in 2025, leaving Pittodrie with a winners' medal to his name.
Robinson prepared for the exit
Robinson revealed that interest in Keskinen had been building for several weeks and that the club had quietly been making contingency plans well ahead of the departure being made official.
"Having been in Scotland for two years, Topi made it clear to me that he wanted to look at other opportunities and when a very good offer was presented to the club, that met our valuation, we decided to accept it and allow him to leave," Robinson told club media.
The Aberdeen manager added that the club would now move to execute replacement plans it had already been working on behind the scenes.
Keskinen's fond farewell
The former HJK Helsinki player left Aberdeen with warm words for the club and its supporters. Keskinen expressed gratitude for the welcome he received and for the opportunity to win silverware during his time in Scotland.
"I was made to feel very welcome by everyone at Aberdeen and by the supporters. I'll always be grateful to be leaving with a Scottish Cup winners' medal. I wish the club every success in the future and I'll always look back on my time in Aberdeen fondly," Keskinen said.
Odense, who finished eighth in Denmark's Superliga last season, will be Keskinen's next destination as he seeks a fresh challenge on the continent.
