AC Milan have paid tribute to Samuel Chukwueze after the Nigerian winger delivered his second Serie A assist of the campaign during Sunday's 1-1 draw at Juventus.

Chukwueze came off the bench in the second half and produced the pass that allowed Alphadjo Cissé to put Milan in front. Juventus, however, refused to be beaten, with Federico Gatti heading in a stoppage-time equaliser to deny the visitors all three points.

A player transformed under Amorim

Chukwueze's first league assist of the season came on September 23, when he helped Milan claim a 2-1 away victory at Torino. His output this term represents a significant step forward for the winger, who has looked reinvigorated since the arrival of head coach Ruben Amorim.

The 26-year-old returned to Milan following a 2025-26 loan spell at Premier League side Fulham and has wasted no time making a positive impression under his new manager.

Amorim has repositioned Chukwueze as a right wing-back in a 3-4-2-1 system, a role that places fresh demands on the Nigeria international. The coach has been clear about why he trusts Chukwueze in that position, stating that defending in his setup is "about spirit and character, which Chukwueze has," adding that the winger has grown defensively since working under him.

The tactical switch appears to be suiting Chukwueze well — his pace, direct dribbling, and work rate slot naturally into Amorim's high-energy framework, and the coach's public backing has given the winger the confidence to express himself.
