AC Milan are reportedly preparing to offer Samuel Chukwueze a contract extension, with the Nigerian winger's encouraging form at the start of the current season convincing the club to move quickly on a new deal.

Chukwueze, 27, has already contributed two assists in three league outings for the Rossoneri this campaign — a promising return that has put him firmly on Milan's radar for the long term. Italian transfer expert Nicolo Schira reported that the club are ready to open formal talks over an extension.

A fresh start under Ruben Amorim

The Super Eagles winger endured a difficult previous season, spending time on loan at Fulham as he struggled to nail down a starting berth at the San Siro. His return this term, however, has taken on a different character entirely under manager Ruben Amorim.

Chukwueze has yet to fully establish himself as a first-team regular since arriving from Villarreal in July 2023, and his inconsistent displays had stoked speculation that his time in Italy could be cut short. Those doubts now appear to be fading fast.
