Akinsanmiro Set for Permanent Pisa Move as Tuscan Club Trigger Buy Option

Nigeria midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro is on the verge of a permanent move to Serie B side Pisa, with the Tuscan club having triggered his €7.5 million purchase option following a loan stint this past season.
A solid campaign despite relegation
Akinsanmiro spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Pisa from Serie A champions Inter Milan, making 24 league appearances and contributing one assist. The defensive midfielder impressed throughout the season even as Pisa suffered relegation to Serie B after a single top-flight campaign.
Pisa have now formally activated the purchase option to sign Akinsanmiro on a permanent basis, and the Tuscan club are currently awaiting Inter Milan's response to finalise the deal.
From NPFL to Italian football
The 21-year-old joined Inter Milan in January 2023 from Nigeria Premier Football League club Remo Stars, signing a four-year contract. A product of Beyond Limits Academy, he spent the 2024/25 season on loan with Sampdoria before linking up with Pisa.
Akinsanmiro was named in Nigeria's squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, though he did not feature in any match during the tournament.
