Al Ahly swept aside Uganda's FC Kitara with a commanding 4-0 victory at the Cairo International Stadium on Sunday, completing a 6-1 aggregate triumph to secure their place in the 2026-27 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup Group Stage. The Egyptian giants will feature in Wednesday's draw.
El Shahat the standout performer
The Red Devils arrived at the tie having claimed a 2-1 win in Hoima in the first leg, and they wasted little time in putting the contest beyond doubt. Hussein El Shahat broke the deadlock in the 38th minute, capitalising on a blunder by FC Kitara goalkeeper Joel Mutakubwa to lob the ball into an empty net.
