Saudi Pro League side Al-Qadsiah are on the verge of securing the services of Nigerian winger Sani Suleiman from RB Leipzig, with a fee of between €9 million and €10 million — including bonuses — agreed between the two clubs.

Transfer insider Rudi Galetti reports that while the club-to-club agreement is in place, discussions over personal terms with Suleiman himself remain ongoing. Confidence is growing, however, that both parties will reach a final agreement in the near future.

West Ham's interest not enough

English Championship side West Ham United had registered strong interest in the 19-year-old, but Al-Qadsiah moved decisively to push ahead of the competition, accelerating their negotiations directly with Leipzig.

A tough start in Germany

Suleiman arrived at RB Leipzig in January, joining from Slovakian club AS Trenčín after a standout spell that yielded five goals and five assists across 50 appearances in all competitions. The transition to the Bundesliga, however, has proven difficult — injuries have prevented him from making a single competitive appearance for the German club.

Flying Eagles experience

At international level, the winger featured for Nigeria's Flying Eagles at the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, underlining the high regard in which he is held despite his tender age.

A switch to Al-Qadsiah could offer Suleiman the consistent playing time and senior-level exposure he needs to reignite his development — having yet to truly kick on since departing Slovakia.
