Alex Jimenez Heads to Fiorentina on Loan as Bournemouth Investigation Continues

Fiorentina have agreed a season-long loan deal to sign Bournemouth defender Alex Jimenez, with the Serie A club holding an option to make the transfer permanent for 20 million euros (£17 million).
The move allows Jimenez to continue playing competitive football while Bournemouth's investigation into social media allegations against him remains ongoing. The club suspended him from first-team duties in May, describing the matter as a "serious" issue linked to "posts circulating on social media."
The 21-year-old had established himself as a regular for Bournemouth last season, making 32 appearances and scoring once. His contract at the south coast club runs until 2031.
Jimenez originally arrived at Bournemouth as a loan signing from AC Milan before the club secured his services on a permanent basis in February. He has represented Spain at Under-21 level.
