Arsenal are monitoring Atlético Madrid winger Álex Baena, according to reports, as the Gunners weigh up potential additions ahead of the summer transfer window.

Baena has established himself as one of La Liga's more dynamic wide players, and the interest from Arsenal signals that the north London club are prepared to target high-profile reinforcements for manager Mikel Arteta.

No formal offer has been reported at this stage, but Arsenal's pursuit of Baena underlines their ambition to remain competitive at the top level of European football.
