Arsenal are set to open discussions with refereeing body Pro Ref after manager Mikel Arteta publicly challenged the penalty awarded against Ezri Konsa during Saturday's Premier League victory over Sunderland.

Konsa was adjudged to have fouled Sunderland captain Dan Ballard through excessive holding inside the penalty area. Referee John Brooks awarded the spot-kick on the field, and the decision was subsequently upheld by the video assistant referee (VAR).
