Ngumoha Issues Arsenal Warning as Liverpool Ride Unstoppable Wave
Rio Ngumoha has put Arsenal on notice, declaring that Liverpool are in formidable form heading into Sunday's Premier League showdown at the Emirates Stadium.
The young Liverpool forward was speaking after his side sealed a place in the quarter-finals, having collected four wins and a draw across all competitions in their most recent run of fixtures. Ngumoha described the atmosphere inside the dressing room as the best he has experienced at the club.
"The boys were buzzing. I think it was a good game. We played well, we dug deep and it was a great result. We're happy to get through to the quarter-finals," Ngumoha said.
The teenager made clear that Liverpool approach every match with the same twin ambitions — to entertain supporters and to take all three points. With Arsenal next on the schedule, he insisted his side are ready for whatever comes their way.
High praise for Trey Nyoni
Ngumoha also took the opportunity to single out teammate Trey Nyoni for special praise, suggesting the 19-year-old midfielder has yet to reach his ceiling under the current tactical setup at the club.
"Trey is top. You guys haven't even seen him at his top, top level. He definitely still has another level to go. He's only 19. The sky is the limit for Trey," Ngumoha said, expressing genuine excitement at seeing Nyoni earn consistent minutes on the pitch.
Liverpool's momentum — built on collective determination and technical quality — makes them a daunting prospect for any side in the Premier League, and Ngumoha showed no signs of tempering that belief ahead of one of the season's most anticipated fixtures.
