Mikel Arteta called Sunday's 1-0 triumph over Liverpool at Anfield "historic," saying his squad "loved the mission" of ending a 14-year wait for a Premier League victory at one of football's most formidable grounds.

Arsenal had not won at Anfield since 2012, making the result one of the most significant away results the club has produced in over a decade. Arteta's side delivered a disciplined, determined performance to claim all three points on Merseyside.

The Arsenal manager was full of pride in the way his players rose to the occasion, embracing the challenge rather than shying away from the weight of expectation that comes with such a long drought at the famous ground.

The victory adds another landmark moment to what has been a compelling Premier League campaign for Arsenal, who continue to prove themselves as genuine title contenders under Arteta's leadership.
