Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has moved to calm any concern among the club's supporters over his future, insisting he has no desire to leave and that his contract extension will be handled at the right moment.

Speaking to reporters on Friday, Arteta was emphatic about where his heart lies. "They don't have to worry about any of that, because I want to be here," he said. "I am extremely happy. I feel very grateful to work with the people that I work with and when we have the possibility, we will resolve that. And that's it."

A manager settled and aligned

Arteta described Arsenal as his home and made clear that his bond with the board and club ownership makes any formal contract negotiation feel secondary. He is confident an extension will come naturally from the strong working relationship he has built at the club.

The Spaniard also spoke enthusiastically about the squad at his disposal and the ambitions driving the club forward. "I am really happy with the squad, the players that I have and I am really happy with the ambition of the club. There is zero question about that," he said.

Arteta acknowledged that Arsenal operate within a different structure compared to some of Europe's wealthiest clubs, but he sees that as a challenge to embrace rather than a limitation to lament. "We have super strengths and we have other areas we need to be very conscious of because we don't have the elements or the structure that other clubs have," he explained.

He stressed that Arsenal must forge their own path. "We need to do it our way. We are always on it that way and we will do what we believe is the right thing to do — to have the best possibility to compete in every competition."

The message from Arteta was one of total alignment with the club's hierarchy and a clear signal that Gunners fans can expect their manager to remain in the dugout as Arsenal continue to push for major honours.
