Barcelona are on the verge of signing Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus in a deal reportedly worth £8.6 million (10 million euros).

Negotiations between the two clubs are understood to be at an advanced stage, with the transfer expected to be wrapped up before Tuesday's transfer deadline. Although some finer details remain to be settled, the move appears to be on course for completion.

Napoli had also registered an interest in the Brazil international, but Jesus is now set to link up with the reigning Spanish league champions rather than head to Italy. The striker is scheduled to travel for a medical on Monday.
