Barcelona have agreed a deal in principle with Arsenal to sign striker Gabriel Jesus for £8.6m (€10m), with the transfer edging towards completion.

All parties are finalising the details of the agreement, and the Brazil international is expected to travel to Spain as soon as Monday to complete the formalities of his move.

Deal separate from Álvarez pursuit

It would be inaccurate to link this transfer to Barcelona's interest in Julian Alvarez — sources have confirmed the two situations are entirely unrelated and being handled independently.

Vieira heads to Hamburg

In a separate outgoing deal, Arsenal have also reached an agreement to sell midfielder Fabio Vieira to Hamburg. That transfer is expected to be worth around £7.7m, and Vieira is already travelling to Germany to finalise the arrangement.
