Brentford in Talks to Sign Burnley Winger Jaidon Anthony

Brentford are in advanced talks with Burnley to sign winger Jaidon Anthony on a permanent deal, with the west London club emerging as the leading contender among several Premier League sides chasing the 26-year-old.
Burnley are expected to demand around £20 million for Anthony, who is eager to secure top-flight football after suffering relegation to the Championship with the Clarets last season.
Anthony had a strong campaign at Turf Moor, contributing nine goals and four assists in 38 appearances across all competitions — numbers that have drawn widespread interest from the Premier League.
A London homecoming
The move holds particular appeal for Anthony, a Londoner who began his footballing journey in Arsenal's academy before departing in 2016 without a senior appearance for the club. He subsequently built his reputation at Bournemouth following loan stints at Weymouth and Leeds.
Anthony joined Burnley on loan from Bournemouth in 2024, and the transfer was made permanent last summer after Burnley won promotion to the Premier League, triggering an £8 million obligation-to-buy clause.
Brentford coach Keith Andrews is understood to view Anthony as an ideal fit for his tactical approach, further strengthening the Bees' case for the winger.
Brentford's busy summer
Brentford have already been active in the transfer market, completing the signing of defender Jannik Schuster from RB Salzburg in a deal worth up to £16 million including add-ons.
The Bees narrowly missed out on European football last season, finishing ninth on goal difference on the final day, and open their Premier League campaign against Tottenham Hotspur.
Burnley, meanwhile, begin life back in the Championship when they face West Ham United on 16 August.
