Brighton Step Up Pursuit of Millwall Winger Femi Azeez

2 hours ago·1 min

Brighton & Hove Albion are pushing hard to secure the signature of Millwall winger Femi Azeez before the transfer window slams shut, with The Athletic reporting that the club are determined to get a deal over the line.

Azeez turned heads during a standout 2023/24 Championship campaign, registering 11 goals and seven assists across 37 league outings for Millwall. That form was enough to earn him a place in the Championship Team of the Season.

The 25-year-old Nigeria international has been heavily linked with a departure from The Den after his displays attracted widespread attention from clubs higher up the football pyramid.

Two bids rejected, third on the way

Millwall have already turned down two separate offers from Brighton, with the Seagulls' most recent proposal understood to be in the region of £10 million, including add-ons.

Brighton are expected to return with a higher bid as they look to prise Azeez away from Millwall before the window closes. The South London club have so far held firm, unwilling to sell on the cheap.

Should Brighton succeed, Azeez would join a club with strong Premier League ambitions and a clear pathway for developing talented players — a move that could also raise his profile ahead of future Nigeria international duty.
