The Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) has completed the handover of a newly built school building at Libya One Primary School in Juba, South Sudan — the second such handover under a programme that channels CAF African Schools Football Championship prize money into community infrastructure through the Motsepe Foundation.

The development, situated in the Munuki Payam community, includes a new school building, two additional classrooms, and two administration offices. The upgrades are designed to serve the school's 310 pupils and give both learners and staff improved space to carry out their daily activities.

Football prize money transformed into lasting infrastructure

The handover ceremony was attended by CAF General Secretary Samson Adamu, representatives of the South Sudan Football Association, school leadership, pupils, and members of the surrounding community.

CAF Director of Member Associations Sarah Mukuna described the Juba project as proof of what the CAF African Schools Football Championship can achieve beyond match day.
