The Confédération Africaine de Football has unveiled the full match calendar for the 2026-27 editions of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League and TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup, with the two competitions set to launch in September 2026.
Preliminary rounds open the season
Action begins with the First Preliminary Round, with first legs scheduled for 4–6 September 2026 and return legs from 11–13 September 2026. The Second Preliminary Round first legs follow on 16–18 October 2026, with the decisive return fixtures on 23–25 October 2026.
Group stage schedule
Both competitions move into the group phase at the end of November, with six matchdays spread across November, December, and January. The schedule is as follows:
Matchday 1: 27–29 November 2026 — Matchday 2: 4–6 December 2026 — Matchday 3: 18–20 December 2026 — Matchday 4: 8–10 January 2027 — Matchday 5: 15–17 January 2027 — Matchday 6: 22–24 January 2027.
Knockout stage and finals
The quarterfinals are set for 26–28 February 2027 (first legs) and 5–7 March 2027 (second legs). The semifinals follow on 9–11 April 2027 and 16–18 April 2027, with the finals of both competitions scheduled between 9 and 31 May 2027.
Prize money unchanged
CAF has confirmed that prize money for both competitions remains at previous levels. The TotalEnergies CAF Champions League winners will take home $6 million, while the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup champions are guaranteed $4 million.
