The Carabao Cup third round draw has been completed, with Liverpool set to host Tottenham at Anfield in what promises to be one of the standout fixtures of the round. Sky Sports reports that as many as six all-Premier League clashes could feature in this stage of the competition.

Spurs make the trip to Anfield for the second time in three seasons, arriving with a difficult record at that ground — they were beaten 4-1 on aggregate by Liverpool in the 2024/25 semi-finals.

All-Premier League clashes dominate the draw

Manchester United will take on Brighton, while holders Manchester City welcome Championship outfit Norwich to the Etihad Stadium. City have not lost to Norwich in five home meetings since 2013, making this a comfortable draw on paper.

Promoted sides are also in the mix: Ipswich face Arsenal, and Sunderland host Hull. Coventry meet Aston Villa in an all-Midlands derby, adding regional rivalry to the mix.

In London, West Ham will host either Fulham or AFC Wimbledon — those two sides meeting on Thursday to determine who advances. Chelsea, meanwhile, face Leeds United if they overcome Luton on Thursday night.

Newcastle travel to Millwall, Everton seek revenge

Newcastle head to Millwall after narrowly eliminating Championship side West Brom, while Everton get the chance to avenge last season's cup exit — Wolves travel to the Hill Dickinson Stadium to face a motivated Toffees side.

Brentford travel to League One side Reading, Bournemouth host Lincoln, and Crystal Palace take on Middlesbrough. The ties are scheduled for the weeks commencing September 7 and September 14.
