Celtic Chase Sigur and Toth as Scottish Transfer Gossip Heats Up

2 hours ago·2 min

Celtic are making strides in the transfer market this summer, with the Glasgow club pursuing both a new midfielder and a goalkeeper ahead of the new season.

Sigur pursuit ongoing

The Scottish champions have made progress in their bid to land Hajduk Split midfielder Niko Sigur, though any deal will require patience. The 22-year-old is expected to feature for Hajduk Split as they attempt to qualify for the Conference League, meaning Celtic will need to bide their time before completing a move.

Meanwhile, Celtic are in advanced discussions over a deal for Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Balazs Toth. The transfer fee is expected to settle at around £4 million, according to TeamTalk.

Gineitis back on the agenda

A potential move for Torino midfielder Gvidas Gineitis could also be back on the table for Celtic. Reports suggest that Red Bull Salzburg's proposed deal for Gineitis has stalled, reopening the door for the Glasgow side to reignite their interest.

Celtic winger Michel-Ange Balikwisha, meanwhile, is attracting interest from Elversberg, Basel, and Monza. The player is understood to be outside manager Martin O'Neill's plans.

Rangers eye Nedeljkovic amid Europa push

Across the city, Rangers are looking to bring in Aston Villa right-back Kosta Nedeljkovic on loan. The move could come in time for the defender to be included in the squad for Thursday's Conference League play-off first leg against Jablonec at Ibrox.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have registered interest in Brighton winger Amario Cozier-Duberry following Rangers' failed £7.5 million bid for the 21-year-old, according to a report by Anthony Joseph on X.

Dundee close in on Wales

Dundee are on the verge of securing a loan deal for Swansea City striker Bobby Wales. The 21-year-old is also attracting attention from Motherwell, Reading, Cambridge, and Stevenage, making competition for his signature fierce.

Elsewhere in Scotland, Burton Albion have submitted a six-figure offer for Kilmarnock defender George Stanger, who enters the final year of his contract this summer.

Dundee United manager Jim Goodwin has acknowledged that the future of wing-back Will Ferry remains uncertain, confirming that an improved contract extension has been offered to the player. Former Rangers directors Sandy and James Easdale have been approached over a possible investment in Morton, who are currently facing a difficult period off the pitch.
