Celtic Sign Egypt Winger Haissem Hassan in £9m Deal Ahead of Champions League Qualifier

Celtic have completed the signing of Egypt international winger Haissem Hassan from Real Oviedo, with the deal potentially rising to £9m.
The Scottish champions agreed an initial fee of £6m with Real Oviedo, with a further £3m available in add-ons. Hassan has signed a four-year contract at Celtic Park, with the club holding an option to extend by an additional 12 months.
A significant portion of those bonus payments is tied to Celtic's progress in the UEFA Champions League — should they reach the league phase later this month, a large chunk of the add-ons will be triggered.
Hassan registered ahead of LASK Linz play-off
The 24-year-old completed his medical in London and arrives in time to be registered for Celtic's Champions League play-off against LASK Linz next week. The registration deadline falls on Thursday, and the club retains the option to add two further players before Tuesday.
Hassan, who impressed at this summer's World Cup, had been a long-term target for Celtic. The club were specifically seeking a left-footed right-winger in this transfer window. He made 38 appearances for Real Oviedo last season, contributing three assists from his preferred right-wing position, having spent six years in Spanish football.
