Italian club Como have completed the signing of centre-back Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea in a deal worth more than £30 million, with the player committing to a five-year contract at the Serie A club.

Chelsea will receive an initial fee of £25.7 million, with up to £5.1 million more available through add-ons after lengthy negotiations between the two clubs.

Chalobah, 27, joins a Como side managed by Cesc Fabregas — who briefly shared a dressing room with the defender during his own playing days at Stamford Bridge. The club secured Champions League football for next season after finishing fourth in Serie A last term.

The centre-back spent close to 20 years at Chelsea, having joined as a child. He made 151 appearances across all competitions and lifted five trophies, among them the FA Cup in 2018 and the Conference League in 2025. He also earned two senior caps for England and was included as a late addition to their World Cup squad.

During his time away from Stamford Bridge, Chalobah gained experience on loan at Ipswich, Huddersfield, Lorient, and Crystal Palace before eventually establishing himself in Chelsea's first team.
