Coventry City Sign Loum Tchaouna from Burnley in £20 Million Deal

Coventry City have completed the signing of winger Loum Tchaouna from relegated Burnley for an undisclosed fee reported to be in the region of £20 million, with the 22-year-old committing to a five-year deal.

Tchaouna arrives at the Sky Blues after a single season at Burnley, where he scored three goals in 32 appearances but could not prevent the Clarets from dropping out of the Premier League.

The French winger had joined Burnley from Lazio last summer, and his career path before that took him from the Rennes academy to Salernitana in Serie A before his move to Rome.

"I'm so excited to start this new season in the Premier League. I'm feeling good and ready for the challenge. I was at Burnley last season in the Premier League, which was incredible. I'm going to bring my energy, determination and leadership to the team. I've played in Ligue 1, Serie A and now I'm playing in the Premier League, the best league in the world, so I have a lot of experience for my young age. I can't wait for the new season,"

said the former France youth international.

Tchaouna's blend of top-flight experience across three major European leagues gives Coventry a versatile wide option as the Championship title winners prepare for life back in the Premier League.

The Sky Blues open their campaign against champions Arsenal on 21 August — a stern early test for the newly promoted side.
