Matheus Cunha's late goal earned Manchester United a point at Craven Cottage, sparing the visitors yet another defeat in what was a hard-fought Premier League draw against Fulham.

Fulham's best performers

Josh King was the standout player on the home side, earning an 8 from the BBC Sport match rater. The Fulham forward was a constant threat, winning a fine save from Senne Lammens at the far post, and his driven cross-shot was destined for the net before the United keeper cleared. A booking for diving was the only blemish on an otherwise impressive display.

David Affengruber and Calvin Bassey both scored 7, with Affengruber delivering a defence-splitting pass that released King, while Bassey got forward to help create Fulham's goal. Antonee Robinson also rated 7, pushing into advanced positions and causing real problems for the Manchester United defence.

Manchester United's mixed evening

For the visitors, Cunha was their most dangerous forward despite being deployed in the number nine role — a position the Brazilian does not appear suited to. He earned a 7, having created a fine opening for Bruno Fernandes and seen a deflected effort rattle the post before his late strike finally made the difference.

Harry Maguire and Luke Shaw — back after a three-match absence — both rated 7, with Shaw's return giving Manchester United a more balanced look on the left side. Patrick Dorgu, introduced late as a substitute, also claimed a 7.

Fernandes and Marcus Rashford each scored 6, with Fernandes hitting the post from a Cunha cut-back and Rashford spurning a big chance over the bar before being substituted. Youri Tielemans and Lisandro Martinez were the lowest-rated United players, each earning a 5 — Tielemans squandering a clear opening while Martinez, despite a well-struck half-volley, ended up putting the ball into his own net for Fulham's goal.
