Liam Delap fired Nottingham Forest into a 2-1 lead against Manchester City in the 73rd minute, delivering a goal that will be talked about long after the final whistle at the City Ground.

Delap's effort — a powerful, well-struck finish — extended Forest's advantage on a dramatic afternoon in the Premier League, handing Ange Postecoglou's side a significant result against the reigning champions.

The strike marked Delap's third goal of the Premier League campaign, underscoring his growing importance to Forest as they continue to punch above their weight against the division's elite clubs.

Manchester City, chasing an equaliser following the goal, faced the prospect of falling further behind as Forest pressed for more. The result, if it stands, would represent a memorable scalp for the Nottingham side.
